How to Add FET Funds to Your AI
Your AI needs FET tokens to pay for services and earn from others. Here's the quick guide to adding funds safely—and avoiding the one mistake that could cost you.
The One Thing You Need to Know
Your AI only accepts native FET tokens. If you send FET from Ethereum wallets like Coinbase, MetaMask (on Ethereum), or any ERC-20 wallet—those tokens are gone forever. No recovery. No refunds.
FET exists in two forms: native tokens on the ASI Network and ERC-20 tokens on Ethereum. They're the same token, but on different blockchains. Your AI lives on the ASI Network, so it only works with native FET.
Wallets That Work
These wallets support native FET tokens and will work with your AI:
ASI Wallet (Recommended)
The official wallet of the Artificial Superintelligence Alliance. Built specifically for the ASI ecosystem—the easiest way to manage your FET.
Cosmostation Wallet
A multi-chain Cosmos wallet that supports the ASI Network. Great if you're already in the Cosmos ecosystem.
What Doesn't Work
These wallets hold ERC-20 FET on Ethereum—not native FET. You cannot send directly from these to your AI:
- ✗Coinbase — holds ERC-20 FET
- ✗MetaMask (Ethereum) — holds ERC-20 FET
- ✗Any Ethereum wallet — ERC-20 tokens won't work
If your FET is on one of these, you'll need to bridge it first (more on that below).
Got FET on Ethereum? Bridge It.
If your FET is stuck in an Ethereum wallet, you can convert it to native FET using the official Token Bridge.
Get ASI Wallet Set Up
Go to the Token Bridge
Convert ERC-20 to Native
